Homemade Crispy Fries in the Air Fryer

So, my sister is currently the chef of the house and I caught her in action! While borrowing an air fryer from our grandparents of course there has been lots of experimenting! Chicken wings has been the favorite, but today Em was making homemade fries, with an extra crunch!

CRISPY FRIES IN THE AIR FRYER

– 1 potato (add another for each person)

– 1 Tbs Olive Oil

– Salt (to taste)

Wash potato and cut into strips lengthwise. Rinse the strips to rid of extra starches and then pat dry. Next, apply a thin coat of olive oil to the pieces and sprinkle salt on top. TOSS! After a good mix up, it’s time to bake! Or is it considered frying? Place the pieces on the grate of the air fryer and 350 for seven minutes. Take it out and flip. Place back in for seven minutes. Change the temp to 400 and keep it in there for 5 minutes. Repeat until desires crispness.

We aren’t picky so there is a variety of sizes!
By rinsing off the slices, we are getting the starches off the potatoes.
Dry them off! Y’all don’t want soggy fries, but if you do…….. skip this step
Add olive oil and salt to taste! This is also when you can add all kinds of fancy spices!
Ope! She needs a little bit more oil on there, ya think?
Place those bad boys on the rack of the air fryer, many air fryers have tubs, but we like the rack because extra crispiness. Who doesn’t love extra crispy fries?
Take selfie in the reflection of the air fryer. Then place it to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for seven minutes. Take it out and flip. Place back in for seven minutes. Change the temp to 400 and keep it in there for 5 minutes. Repeat until desires crispness.
Yum! Time to enjoy with ketchup (my personal favorite).
