Why Travel?
The real question is why not travel? Traveling creates so many amazing memories that are 100% worth the money. However, budgeting is definitely a must when getting ready to go on your next adventure.
1. flights are expensive
Yes! Everyone knows this, flights are super expensive, but that isn’t the only thing you will be spending money on.
2. A place to stay
Airbnb is amazing, I rely on this whenever I am traveling (including to different countries). I have used Airbnb in Denmark, France, England, and the US. Always, look and see if there are any “Superhosts” around you, These are the people who have outstanding hospitality and provide great experiences with their guests. I appreciate the reliability; however their rooms go first! It is always nerve wracking going into a stranger’s home and this provides a piece of mind.
3. fooooood
In my opinion, food is one of the best parts of traveling! Head to Tennessee and enjoy amazing BBQ of course! Or head to England and enjoy the fish and chips! Food isn’t cheap though. In Denmark, it is so expensive! However, eating out is usually a spendy adventure.
4. experiences
When I go traveling, alone or with friends, I always check out what Airbnb has for Experiences in the area. It is a great way to see what’s going on and what is popular in the area! Usually there are tours of the city with a local which is very inexpensive and worth the money!
While in Italy we found an Airbnb experience that led us to the original Vini Vannellli winery! This was where the company had started. We were able to see their original wine cave that they let the wine age in before going and learning how homemade pizza is made in Italy. If I go back, I would love to go to their pasta making class!
5. SOUVENIRS
Mementos are great, I mean, I sure enjoy them! My favorites are post-cards and magnets because they are great reminders of where you have been and the experience that you had there. I am still in college so, magnets are better than shot glasses or mugs. They are lightweight and easy to move back home from my dorm refrigerator.
